Mission briefing · Eyes only
Agent, hide a secret in a picture. Start with one tiny square.
NO VISIBLE MESSAGE. THAT’S THE IDEA.
Original artwork, made here600 × 360 pixels
Keep the picture clean.
Encryption scrambles a message so it is hard to read. Steganography hides that a message is there at all. Today, we hide a dispatch inside this ordinary picture.
Training only: this toy does not provide secure encryption. Anyone who knows the trick can read your message. It is not the model-specific technique in the linked article.
Make an ordinary-looking secret.
Choose a clean cover, write a message, and save a real PNG you can reveal again.
CLEAN COVER
No visible text, watermarks, or added noise. Uploads over 720 pixels on either side are resized for this workshop.
Send the original PNG file, not a screenshot. Social apps, JPEG conversion, and image editors may erase the secret.
Look a little closer.
Open a PNG made here. We’ll check all three hiding places automatically.
The picture is the envelope.
Your image is read in this browser. It is never sent to an image service.
What survives the journey?
RGB bits · tiny paint ticks
Nudge red, green, or blue amounts by at most one tick. JPEG and resizing can erase those tiny clues.

Alpha bits · see-through dial
Switch between 254 and 255 on the see-through dial: almost solid or fully solid. Flattening the picture can erase this clue.

PNG note · tucked into the file
A note beside the picture data, not painted into it. Zero changed pixel values. A file cleaner can remove the note.

No result does not prove an image contains no secret. This reader recognizes only Quiet Pixels’ message format, not every steganography technique.
