Outbound route

The Northern Arc

A deliberate escape from familiar Texas pavement into New Mexico adobe, Utah sandstone, Sierra granite, and a final sweep across the Golden Gate.

Capability, used wisely

Road course cone SCENIC SPUR
PROTOCOL

The Bronco earns its keep on maintained forest roads, trailhead approaches, beach sand where permitted, and occasional scenic spurs — not as a reason to push unknown routes alone.

  • Download offline maps for Moab, Death Valley, Big Sur, and White Sands before arrival.
  • Carry 2–3 gallons of water per person in desert legs. Use a real cooler, not wishful thinking.
  • Check trail status locally. Flash floods, snow, fire closures, and mud can change the day fast.
  • Leave spare time. The best capability is turning around while the story is still good.

YC warm-up

Three windshield prompts

  1. 01
What pain do we understand unusually well?

Each person gets five uninterrupted minutes. Capture exact phrases, not polished answers.

  2. 02
What would we build if the first version had to ship in 10 days?

Choose constraints on purpose: one user, one job, one proof point.

  3. 03
What kind of company would make us proud to tell this road-trip story about?

Return to this after the redwoods. The answer should get sharper.

Reservations that protect the magic

01

National park timed entry
Arches, Yosemite, and some popular destinations can require seasonal reservation systems.

02

Moab lodging or campsite
Book early if you want sunrise proximity rather than a late-night drive.

03

Big Sur contingency
Highway 1 is gorgeous and occasionally closed. Keep a coastal Plan B.

04

One intentional SF night
Finish in a walkable neighborhood. Park the Bronco and celebrate properly.
